3-31 May 2012
Bristol Festival of Photography is a series of independent exhibitions and events over multiple sites across the city of Bristol. There are so many great things happening this year; with over 110 listings there should be something for everyone. We’re most excited about shows from award winning international artists Zed Nelson and Paolo Woods, the Royal Photographic Society, the RGB Awards: Finalists Exhibition and The Lomo Show.

Several Bristol galleries and organisations are on board; the nomadic Antlers Gallery are presenting Still Chaos, Here Gallery have Ronnie, Centrespace plays host to both The Monoists and Construct, and arts collective Second Look offer up a range of exhibitions and events, both as a group and individually.
There are also plenty of ways to get actively involved – Second Look’s PhotoMarathon is back at M Shed, the documentary film Bill Cunningham New York screens at the Cube, there are plenty of talks, presentations and slideshows, including TalkPhoto’s Simon Norfolk, workshops on a range of different processes, photobooths and pop-up portrait studios, plus the chance to turn your town into an outdoor exhibition space with Guerrilla Galleries.
Bristol Festival of Photography is a biennial event celebrating photography. The festival is inclusive; all of the exhibitions are free to enter, though charges apply for some events – please see individual listings for details.
We hope you enjoy this festival as much as we’ve enjoyed bringing it all together – see you at the launch party!
